BBQ Sauce

A sweet and smoky sauce perfect for grilling or as a condiment.
Ingredients:
- ketchup - 240 grams (1 cup)
- brown sugar - 100 grams (0.5 cup)
- apple cider vinegar - 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons)
- Worcestershire sauce - 15 milliliters (1 tablespoon)
- smoked paprika - 2 grams (1 teaspoon)
- garlic powder - 1.5 grams (0.5 teaspoon)
- onion powder - 1.5 grams (0.5 teaspoon)
- salt - 1.5 grams (0.25 teaspoon)
- black pepper - 0.5 gram (0.125 teaspoon)
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes, or until it has thickened slightly.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Use the BBQ sauce immediately or let it cool and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes:
For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to taste.
