Beef Stir-Fry

A quick and easy beef stir-fry with colorful vegetables and a savory sauce.
Ingredients:
- flank steak - 450 grams (1 pound)
- broccoli florets - 480 grams (2 cups)
- sliced bell peppers - 120 grams (1 cup)
- sliced carrots - 120 grams (1 cup)
- sliced onion - 1 onion (1 onion)
- minced garlic - 2 cloves (2 cloves)
- soy sauce - 60 milliliters (0.25 cup)
- cornstarch - 7.5 grams (1 tablespoon)
- water - 60 milliliters (0.25 cup)
- vegetable oil - 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons)
Instructions:
- Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, onion, and garlic. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce mixture. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the beef is cooked through.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
