A classic Caesar salad with crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons, and a tangy dressing.

Ingredients:

  • romaine lettuce - 1 head (1 head)
  • garlic clove - 1 clove (1 clove)
  • anchovy fillets - 2 fillets (2 fillets)
  • lemon juice - 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons)
  • Dijon mustard - 5 grams (1 teaspoon)
  • Worcestershire sauce - 5 milliliters (1 teaspoon)
  • olive oil - 120 milliliters (0.5 cup)
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams (0.5 cup)
  • croutons - 50 grams (1 cup)
  • salt - 1.5 grams (0.25 teaspoon)
  • black pepper - 1 gram (0.25 teaspoon)

Instructions:

  1. Tear romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large bowl.
  2. In a blender, blend garlic, anchovies, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Gradually add olive oil while blending until emulsified.
  4. Pour the dressing over the lettuce and toss to coat.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese, croutons, salt, and pepper, and toss again.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes:

You can add grilled chicken or shrimp to make it a main course salad.
