Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • all-purpose flour - 270 grams (2.25 cups)
  • baking soda - 5 grams (1 teaspoon)
  • salt - 5 grams (1 teaspoon)
  • unsalted butter - 225 grams (1 cup)
  • granulated sugar - 150 grams (0.75 cup)
  • brown sugar - 150 grams (0.75 cup)
  • vanilla extract - 5 milliliters (1 teaspoon)
  • large eggs - 2 eggs (2 eggs)
  • semisweet chocolate chips - 340 grams (2 cups)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes:

For a softer cookie, bake for a shorter time. For a crispier cookie, bake for a bit longer.
