Classic Apple Pie

A delicious and traditional apple pie recipe that everyone will love.
Ingredients:
- all-purpose flour - 300 grams (2.5 cups)
- unsalted butter - 225 grams (1 cup)
- salt - 5 grams (1 teaspoon)
- ice water - 120 milliliters (0.5 cup)
- Granny Smith apples - 6 medium (6 medium)
- granulated sugar - 150 grams (0.75 cup)
- ground cinnamon - 2 grams (1 teaspoon)
- lemon juice - 15 milliliters (1 tablespoon)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix 240 grams (2 cups) of flour and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough holds together.
- Divide the dough in half, shape into discs, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples. Mix with sugar, remaining flour (60 grams or 0.5 cup), cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Roll out one dough disc and place it in a 23-centimeter (9-inch) pie dish. Trim the edges.
- Fill with the apple mixture.
- Roll out the second dough disc and place it on top. Trim and seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust for ventilation.
- Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Notes:
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
