A classic Italian pasta dish with a rich and meaty tomato sauce.

Ingredients:

  • spaghetti - 400 grams (14 ounces)
  • ground beef - 500 grams (1.1 pounds)
  • onion - 1 medium (1 medium)
  • garlic cloves - 2 cloves (2 cloves)
  • canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams (14 ounces)
  • tomato paste - 30 grams (2 tablespoons)
  • beef broth - 240 milliliters (1 cup)
  • dried oregano - 2.5 grams (1 teaspoon)
  • salt - 5 grams (1 teaspoon)
  • black pepper - 1.5 grams (0.5 teaspoon)
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams (0.5 cup)

Instructions:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer the sauce for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve the bolognese sauce over cooked spaghetti.
  7. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes:

You can also add vegetables like carrots and celery to the sauce for extra flavor.
